Vikarant (Govinda), who is called familiarly Vicky , meets Sonam (Sonam) who goes by the nickname "Pinky." Vicky's father, Ranjit Mallik (Raj Babbar), is a police inspector who fights several criminals including don King Kishen (Jeetendra) and Nagaraj (Sadashiv Amrapurkar).
Mallik suspects his wife Anita is having an affair with Kishen and confronts her. Anita (Anita Raj) tells her husband that Kishen originally saved her from a gang when she was very young and how they fell in love. Anita also reveals that she was pregnant when she wed Mallik, therefore, Vicky is Kishen's son, not Mallik's. Mallik offers don Kishen Vicky, but Kishen refuses and makes Mallik promise not to tell Vicky who his real father. Kishen does not want to disparage Vicky who has become a police inspector. Nagaraj kills Mallik and frames Kishen for the murder. Vicky sets out to avenge his father Mallik, by killing Kishen.
